Darigold Inc., the marketing and processing subsidiary of the Northwest Dairy Association, has announced that it is to cease using WestFarm Foods as a trading name.

The company said it is returning to using its long-standing legal corporate name Darigold Inc., having used WestFarm Foods as a ‘doing business as’ or d/b/a name for the past seven years.

“We are enormously proud of the Darigold heritage and are excited about the future of our great organisation,” said Darigold’s president and CEO John Underwood. “Returning to the Darigold name will allow us to share the Darigold experience with our customers and consumers.”

The company also pointed out that the name Darigold has been known as a preferred brand of consumer dairy products, a community partner and a major regional employer “for generations”.

With ten processing plants throughout the Northwest, Darigold Inc. produces a full line of dairy-based products for retail, foodservice, commodity and specialty markets and is one of the largest US dairy processors. The Northwest Dairy Association is owned by over 600 dairy producers throughout the region.
