Del Monte Foods, the US fruit-to-tuna group, is to relocate around 100 jobs from Pittsburgh to San Francisco.

The company said today (14 May) that it would achieve “ongoing annual savings” from the switch to its corporate head office on the West Coast.
The move came as Del Monte named former Campbell Soup Co. and Procter & Gamble executive Bill Pearce as chief marketing officer.
Officials at the US food group could not be reached for additional comment as just-food went to press.
