Spanish food group Ebro Foods’ US arm Riviana Foods has added range of microwaveable rice and pasta meals to its frozen food line.
The new Minute Steamers, which come in steamed bags are heated in the microwave for four minutes.

NPD was among one of the reasons Ebro posted a 19.1% increase in half-year net income to reach EUR67.2m (US$82.6m). Other reasons included a “relatively stable” commodity market and its rice plant in Memphis becoming “fully operational”. Net sales jumped 20.6% to EUR1.02bn.
