Snackfoods and confectionery group The Hershey Company has appointed Dan Vucovich as vice president, chief customer officer at its US Commercial Group.
Vucovich will oversee Hershey’s selling and customer service organisation, reporting to Chris Baldwin, senior vice president, president of the US Commercial Group.
“Dan is an outstanding leader with a strong track record of driving growth and market share gains across all major customer channels,” Baldwin said. “His broad experience across categories and business systems will be invaluable as we build on the momentum Hershey has achieved in the marketplace.”
Vucovich joins Hershey from Pepsi-Cola North America where he was vice president of business development.
Hershey has also announced the appointment of Andrea Thomas as vice president, global chocolate.
Formerly vice president, innovation at Frito-Lay, Inc., Thomas will be responsible for global platform innovation and branding for the Hershey’s chocolate portfolio, reporting to Thomas K. Hernquist, senior vice president, global chief growth officer.
“We see immense global opportunities for our core chocolate brands and for launching new confectionery platforms to meet emerging consumer needs,” Hernquist said. “Andrea is an excellent choice to lead this effort. She has a truly outstanding record of driving growth through innovation and her commitment to winning in competitive markets will be invaluable.”
