French group Materne has launched a line of adult fruit snacks in the US under its GoGo Squeez brand.
Materne said its Fast Fruit products, available in three flavours and sold in pouches, were targeted at the “on-the-go consumer”.
The company launched its GoGo Squeez products in 2008 to give consumers the chance to consume fruit on the move.
Meena Mansharamani, MD of Materne’s North American office, said 30% of GoGo Squeez’s consumers were adults and the company wanted to develop a product for them.
Materne, part of French food firm Groupe MOM, set up a US office in New York last year.
Private-equity firm LBO France owns Groupe MOM. It acquired the company in 2010.
