US retailer Fresh & Easy has announced plans to open nine stores in California in September.
The Tesco-owned company plans to hire more than 180 employees for these stores and is currently taking applications.
The stores will be located in Slymar, Rosemead, Oxnard, Signal Hill, Fresno, Clovis, and two in Oceanside.
The openings follow calls from investors to exit the market after if failed to reach profitability by the end of last year.
