Tesco’s US division Fresh & Easy has launched a range of frozen ready meals.

Gourmet is a range of 17 prepared meals, desserts and soups, the firm said yesterday (8 February). The range is designed to offer “a fine-dining experience” in the home.

Available from 14 February, the range includes Crab and Sweet Potato Bisque, French Onion Soup, California Champagne Shrimp, Braised Beef in Red Wine Sauce and Dark Chocolate Raspberry Gelato Truffles.

The products are made with “fresh ingredients with no added preservatives, no artificial colours or flavours, no high-fructose corn syrup and no added trans fats”.

“We’ve heard continually from our customers that they love our fresh&easy meals, so we set out to create a truly gourmet line of affordable meals to give our customers even more options,” Fresh & Easy’s chief commercial officer John Burry said.
