US food giant General Mills has voluntarily recalled three varieties of its Cascadian Farm snack bars containing peanuts as a “precaution” only.

Cascadian Farm Peanut Butter Chip Chewy Granola Bars, Cascadian Farm Sweet & Salty Mixed Nut Chewy Granola Bars, and Cascadian Farm Sweet & Salty Peanut Pretzel Chewy Granola Bars have all been recalled.

The company said it has no reason to believe there is a safety issue with the products, but peanut pieces in the products may have been sourced from the Plainview, Texas, plant of Peanut Corporation of America (PCA).

General Mills said that PCA is no longer a supplier to Cascadian Farm, and no other Cascadian Farm products are being recalled.

Last month, General Mills recalled its Larabar Peanut Butter Cookie bars and JamFrakas Peanut Butter Blisscrisp bars due to the products containing ingredients sourced from the same company.
