Thomas Greco has been named president of sales at PepsiCo, replacing Al Carey who was earlier appointed president and CEO of Frito-Lay North America.

Greco, 48, joined PepsiCo in 1986 where he has held a variety of executive positions, most recently serving as president of sales at PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay North American snack food division.

In his new role, Greco will be accountable for selling PepsiCo’s portfolio of beverage, snack and food brands across all retail channels. Reporting directly to Reinemund, Greco will also assume responsibility for PepsiCo’s ‘power of one’ cross-divisional sales strategy, leveraging the combined might of all its businesses under a unified approach.

In a related move, Randy Melville, 47, has been promoted to succeed Greco as senior vice president of sales at Frito-Lay.
