The chief executive of Dutch brewing giant Heineken is to take a seat on the board of Kraft Foods from the New Year.
Jean-Francois van Boxmeer will be the latest addition to Kraft’s roster of independent directors.
Mackey McDonald, a senior advisor at private equity firm Crestview Partners, will also join the US food giant’s board.
With these appointments, the Milka chocolate maker will have 12 directors on its board from 1 January – 11 of whom are independent.
“Jean-Francois and Mackey will be terrific additions to our board as we continue to build on our position as a global powerhouse in snacks, confectionery and quick meals,” said Kraft chairman and CEO Irene Rosenfeld.
