Heinz Dip & Squeeze has a label that can be peeled back for dipping food in the ketchup or a cap that can be torn off so the ketchup can be squeezed onto foods.

Noel Geoffroy, vice president of Heinz Brands, said: “Consumer demand for this product has been tremendous, as there is a universal need for convenient, portable packaging.”

The company said over 220m packages have been shipped to restaurants across the country since its debut in March.

However, Heinz is currently involved in a lawsuit over the product. David Wawrzynski, a US businessman, claims the food giant used his idea for a new way of packaging ketchup without paying him.
