Hershey is to roll out a version of the Lancaster brand it launched in China earlier this year into the US market.

The US Lancaster line will feature caramel soft cremes and will go on US shelves in January. The range will comprise three flavours: caramel; vanilla and caramel; and vanilla and raspberry. Packaged in 4oz and 8oz bags, the products will have RRPs of $2.49 and $3.99 respectively.

Hershey introduced Lancaster milk candies into China in May, the first time the company had launched a brand into an overseas market.

The initial launch in May included three cities – Wuhan, Hangzhou and Chengdu – and will be followed by a wider distribution in China in 2014.
