Hershey will put front-of-pack nutrition labels on the front of products on sale in the US and Mexico later this year.

The US confectionery giant has not confirmed the exact nature of the scheme but said the labels will appear in October.

“We’ll have more details on the actual labeling as we get closer to rolling it out. There may be variations depending on the type and size of the package type, especially for small packages with limited space,” a spokesperson for Hershey told just-food. “Our labeling will be aligned with other industry efforts, such as the Grocery Manufacturers Association and the National Confectioners Association.”
