US food group Hillshire Brands has added to its Sara Lee dessert line with the launch of two products.

A cookies and cream cheesecake has been launched to address the growing demand for the flavour in the refrigerated and frozen sweets categories, the firm said. The product is made with “high-quality ingredients” and adds to the original cheesecake line-up of original and fruit flavours.

Hillshire has also launched a pie line. The Perfectly Portioned for 2 fruit pies is a smaller, single-serve dessert designed for convenience. Sold in a 10 oz pack, the pre-baked fruit pies are targeted at one- or two-person households. The product is available in Apple and Cherry flavours.
