US food group Hillshire Brands is launching a line of “premium” all-natural lunchmeat.

The range, Hillshire Farm Naturals, comes in four varieties: slow roast turkey breast, hardwood smoked turkey breast, honey roasted ham and Black Forest ham.

The company said the products are free from artificial ingredients, preservatives or added nitrites/nitrates.

The range will be available in the packaged deli meat section of stores throughout the US from this month, with an RRP of US$4.48 per pack.

Since spinning off from Sara Lee in 2012, Hillshire Brands has focused on growing its business in the higher-margin, branded space.

The company, which entered into a US$8.55bn agreement to be acquired by Tyson Foods last month, has focused its innovation pipeline on its portfolio of brands including Hillshire Farms, Ball Park and Jimmy Dean.
