US conglomerate Seaboard Corp. has appointed Terry Holton as president and CEO of its Seaboard Foods division.

Holton will replace Rod Brenneman who was named president and CEO of Butterball in September. Seaboard Corp. owns a 50% stake in US turkey processor Butterball in partnership with meat processor Maxwell Farms.

“Terry brings with him a wealth of knowledge about the pork industry and has played an integral role in the success of Seaboard Foods. He believes in the strength and value of the integrated system and has a deep commitment to producing high-quality, consistent pork products for our customers,” Seaboard Corp president and CEO Steve Bresky said on Wednesday (21 December).

Holton joined Seaboard Foods in 1994 as vice president of processor sales and most recently served as SVP of sales and marketing.

As a result, Duke Sand has been promoted to SVP of sales and marketing, and had served as the vice president of international sales before assuming his new role.

In addition, Gary Louis has been named EVP of Seaboard Foods. He previously held the position of vice president of integrated business strategies.
