US honey supplier Natural American Foods today announced the appointment of Lance Chambers as CEO.

Chambers, who was most recently president and CEO of Liguria Foods, a speciality food ingredient company focused on dried meats and pizza toppings, succeeds Rolf Richter.

Natural American said Richter will continue to serve in an advisory role and as a member of the company’s board.

Prior to joining Liguria, Chambers spent six years as president and CEO of the US arm of French cheese giant Group Bel and ten years at Kraft Foods.

Natural American board member Robert Strauss said Chambers “is a highly-talented executive who has an impressive history of leading food companies and delivering exceptional results”.  “His demonstrated track record of driving significant value creation across both sales and operations is a great fit for Natural American as it continues to execute numerous compelling growth initiatives.”
