Hormel Foods today (28 September) announced a series of management changes for both its domestic and overseas businesses. 

The US food group announced that group vice president and president of its Jennie-O Turkey Store division Robert Tegt would step down at the end of the year.

“Bob’s focus on growing our portfolio of value-added products while controlling costs has been instrumental to the long-term success of Hormel Foods and Jennie-O Turkey Store,” Hormel Foods chairman of the board, president and CEO Jeffrey Ettinger said.

Glenn Leitch, general manager of Jenny-O Turkey Store, will replace Tegt.

In addition, James Snee has been named vice president at Hormel Foods and senior vice president of Hormel Foods International Corp.

Mark Coffey, plant manager for Hormel’s Austin plant, has been promoted to vice president of its affiliated business units. Timothy Fritz will replace Coffey at the Austin plant.

Meanwhile, Steven Venenga has also been promoted to vice president of meat products marketing. All of the changes are effective from 31 October.

Hormel also announced that James Hoffman, vice president of its Americas business, International Corp will retire next January after 36 years with the business.

Maureen Lilly, who is in charge of Hormel’s Canadian operations, will succeed Hoffman. She will oversee the sales and marketing of consumer products and Hormel’s foodservice unit in Canada, the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico and South America.
