US-based meats and packaged foods group Hormel Foods has made a couple of key executive appointments.

Donald Kremin has been named as vice president of sales, Wal-Mart, while Brian Johnson will take the role of corporate secretary. Both appointments take effect from the beginning of November.

“Don’s promotion signifies his excellent customer service capabilities and his leadership in the consumer products sales division,” said Larry L. Vorpahl, group vice president of Hormel Foods and president of consumer products sales (CPS).

Kremin began his career with Hormel in 1984 as a sales merchandiser in grocery products, subsequently holding various sales positions in the Midwest.

Johnson joined Hormel in 1995 as a corporate attorney, and was promoted to the position of senior attorney in 2000.
