Mitsui Foods International, the US-based speciality foods importer, has appointed Evan Hyman as product manager.
Reporting to Mitsui Foods International’s president Dennis Newnham, Hyman will lead Mitsui Foods’ new product development efforts in collaboration with the company’s agency partner Hillman & Partners.
Hyman will also be charged with integrating new businesses as the company, which is part of the Japan-based conglomerate Mitsui & Co., embarks on an acquisition programme, seeking to incorporate specialty distributors and branded food companies.
Hyman most recently worked for Pepperidge Farm where he had product management and new product development responsibilities across the company’s frozen food business. He previously held marketing and sales positions with Schick-Wilkinson Sword, Daymon Worldwide, McNeil Nutritionals and Mitsubishi International Corporation.
“We are lucky to have someone of Evan’s calibre and experience join the Mitsui Foods International team,” said Newnham. “Evan’s ability to jump right into the organisation will be critical to the success of the many programmes that we are undertaking.”
