US-based nut group John B. Sanfilippo & Son has booked an increase in earnings for the full year, boosted by growth in the majority of his channels.
Earnings in the year ended 27 June reached US$21.8m, a 27.1% increase on the last year period. Operating profit was up 26.2% to $41.6m.
Sales in the 12 months climbed 4.8% to $734.3m, while sales volume increased in all distribution channels except the export channel and increased for all major product types except walnuts.
“We are pleased with our results for the fourth quarter and 2013 fiscal year,” said CEO Jeffrey Sanfilippo. “We achieved growth throughout our distribution channels and product lines and improved operational efficiencies to deliver margin and profit growth.”
