JSM Meat Holdings has issued a voluntary recall of ground beef products due to fears that they may be contaminated with E. coli.

The recall is applicable to 30- and 60-pound boxes, combo boxes or 47-gallon barrels of “morreale meat” products bearing the establishment number EST. 6872.

These beef products were distributed to establishments for further processing in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

The Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety Inspection Service discovered the problem.

FSIS has received no reports of illnesses associated with consumption of this product, the department said.
