Kellogg has unveiled a plethora of new products under its snack brands and announced plans to relaunch some old favourites from the Pringles stable.

The US company transformed itself from a cereal group into a cereal and snack food giant with the acquisition of Pringles. It will launch snacks – including cereal bars, crackers, crisps and cookies –  under the Pringles, Cheez-it, Special K, Keebler and Nutri-Grain brands.

Alan Gravely, senior vice president of marketing and innovation for Kellogg’s snacks business, said: “We have such a strong line-up of snack brands… We are building off these brands with new products that reflect our deep understanding of people’s evolving taste preferences and nutrition needs.”

Products Kellogg plans to launch include Nutri-Grain Fruit Crunch granola bars, 100-calorie Special K Blondie Brownie Bites designed for consumers watching their weight and FiberPlus Antioxidant Protein Chewy bars, which are targeting shoppers looking for “positive nutrition” from snacks.

The company is also reintroducing a number of classic products, including: Keebler Pitter Patter peanut butter sandwich cookies and Pringles Stix in three flavours – honey wheat, pizza and cheese.

This swathe of product launches comes as a clear signal of Kellogg’s intention to grow its snack sales and generate category excitement.
