US dairy firm Land O’Lakes has booked an increase in full-year profit, boosted by initiatives to build its value-added, branded business.

In the 12 month period, net earnings totalled US$241m, a 31% increase on the prior year period. Sales were up 10.2% on last year to $14.1bn.

President and CEO Chris Policinski said the results were positively impacted by the “continuing implementation of strategies focused on consolidating and strengthening the company’s business platform, reducing costs and driving growth”.
