French fry firm McCain Foods has agreed to acquire vegetable goup Jon-Lin for an undisclosed amount.

Jon-Lin, based in Colton, California, is a manufacturer of sautéed, grilled, fire roasted and smokehouse roasted vegetables, onion rings and other appetizer products.
McCain Foods president and CEO Dale Morrison said: “Jon-Lin is a perfect fit with our category-leading international appetizer business.”
The transaction is scheduled to close within 90 days.
McCain Foods USA CEO Frank van Schaayk added: “Jon-Lin is the recognised leader in the growing premium vegetable category and we are excited to bring this quality capability and all the associated innovation possibilities to our customers across the US.”
