The recall of salmonella contaminated meat produced by Nebraska Beef has again been extended, this time to include Cub Foods’ Wild harvest brand.
Wild Harvest Beef Choice ribeye steak, Beef Choice sirloin steak and Beef Choice strip steak are now included in the nationwide Nebraska Beef recall.
The products, sold at stores in Minnesota, were supplied to Cub Foods by Coleman Natural Beef and were on shelves from 1 July to 8 August.
The nationwide recall has included a number of products, including meat sold at Whole Foods Market and Kroger. It is the second recall issued by Nebraska Beef in the space of a month and has sparked criticism of the US Department of Agriculture for its failure to stop contaminated meat reaching consumers.
