Nestlé yesterday (10 July) announced that it has selected a site in Anderson, Indiana, as the location of a new US$359m factory and distribution centre. Construction will begin later this year, the company said, adding that it expects the site to begin operating in spring 2008.

The 880,000 square foot facility will initially employ almost 300 people and will produce Nesquik Ready-to-Drink and Coffee-Mate liquid products.

“Nestlé is committed to providing consumers with the best-tasting, nutritionally superior beverages, wherever and whenever they want them,” said Rob Case, president, beverage division. “This new facility will enable us to greatly expand our production and distribution capabilities, thereby allowing us to better serve our consumers.”
