Nestlé Prepared Foods has issued a recall of a number of its Lean Cuisine ready meals in the US over fears that the products could contain shards of plastic.
Approximately 879,565 pounds of frozen Lean Cuisine-branded chicken meals have been recalled, including pesto chicken with bow tie pasta, chicken Mediterranean and chicken Tuscan products.
The ready meals were produced between August and October and were distributed to retail establishments nationwide.
The problem was discovered after the company received consumer complaints and a report of one injury. The object has been identified as small pieces of hard plastic.
