The US division of Nestle has sold its Juicy Juice brand to private-equity firm Brynwood Partners.
The two companies announced earlier today (2 July) the juice brand and business will move to Brynwood’s Harvest Hill Beverage Co. unit. Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Nestle is trimming its portfolio and selling off non-core brands in order to increase its focus on key growth areas.
In February, Nestle sold assets in the sports nutrition sector to US breakfast cereal group Post Holdings.
The transaction is just the latest between Nestle and Brynwood. Prior to this deal, Brynwood had acquired five businesses from Nestle, most recently US unit Joseph’s Pasta Co. in January.
Just after Christmas, Brynwood announced a deal to sell a business formed from a number of the assets it acquired from Nestle.
