PepsiCo is predicting that international business will continue to benefit from emerging markets and that snacks are the key, reported the Dow Jones Newswires.

According to the reports, PepsiCo is doing particularly well in snacks sales, accounting for 70% of its international profit.

Chairman and chief executive of PepsiCo International Mike White told the news agency: “We’re very well positioned for continuing growth in developing markets where per-capita consumption is tiny compared to developed countries. If China and India got to 50% of the per-capita consumption of our Thailand business, that’s a US$2bn revenue opportunity.”
