PepsiCo’s Quaker brand has introduced a new line of “gourmet” Ture Delights granola bars.


Each bar is made with whole grain Quaker Oats, delivering 3g of fibre, 140 calories and no trans fat.


“True Delights are indulgent combinations of real fruit, whole nuts, and dark chocolate, mixed into honey-drizzled Quaker Oats,” the company said.


True Delights come in three flavours: Toasted Coconut Banana Macadamia Nut, Dark Chocolate Raspberry Almond and Honey Roasted Cashew Mixed Berry.


In a bid to generate interest in the launch, Quaker has partnered with online community Foodbuzz.

“Quaker is excited to introduce True Delights to food lovers, and take snack time to a decadent yet wholesome new level,” said Jeff Caswell, director of marketing for Quaker Snack Bars.


“Establishing a dialogue with online food lovers via Foodbuzz is a new and interactive way for us to build buzz with consumers,” he added.
