Sabra, the US joint venture between Israel’s Strauss Group and PepsiCo, plans to increase its capacity through the construction of a new production plant.
Sabra parent Strauss confirmed that the investment would double the company’s production capacity.
“Manufacturing will be greatly enhanced through the project,” a spokesperson for the Israeli food group told just-food.
Production at the new facility is scheduled to begin in 2010.
Sabra produces hummus, Mediterranean dips and dressings for the US market.
