Fast food giant McDonald’s Corporation has announced the election of Sheila Penrose, president of the Penrose Group and chairman of Jones Lang LaSalle, to its board of directors.
“I am delighted that McDonald’s shareholders have elected Sheila Penrose to the board,” said Andrew J. McKenna, chairman of McDonald’s. “She is a well-respected business leader with great international experience and financial expertise. Her addition will further contribute strategic thinking to (the) McDonald’s board.”
The Penrose Group is a strategic consultancy which advises on financial and organisational strategies. Penrose joined the board of Jones Lang LaSalle, a real estate services and money management firm, in 2002, rising to the position of chairman in 2005. She is also an executive advisor to the Boston Consulting Group and holds two other directorships.
