The removal, announced today (5 September), follows a voluntary recall by Hershey as a result of the product possibly containing almonds, an allergen that was not listed as an ingredient.
The product recalled by Hershey has a UPC code of 3400000600 and was sold nationwide after 8 July.
Customers who have an allergy to almonds and who still have the product are being urged to discard it or return it to a Stop & Shop for a refund.
