Tim Lowe, who recently served as senior vice president of operations for Shoppers, will assume his role on 11 October.

“Tim is an experienced leader at Shoppers and is well positioned to grow the organisation in the marketplace,” said Brian Huff, senior vice president for speciality retail at Supervalu.

Lowe replaces Dick Bergman, who retired from Shoppers on 1 October.

Shoppers Food & Pharmacy is part of the Supervalu family of grocery stores. It has around 62 stores across Baltimore, northern Virginia and Washington DC
