SuperValu’s own-label chief will takeover as president of Shaw’s Supermarkets, after current president Larry Wahlstrom decided to retire.
The West Bridgewater-based grocery chain said Mike Witynski would replace Wahlstrom.
Witynski is currently group vice president of own brands, a unit of Shaw’s parent company, Supervalu.
Witynski, a 29-year industry veteran, begins his transition on 10 August, Shaw’s said.
