Philadelphia baked goods group the Tasty Baking Company has announced the appointment of Mark T. Timbie to its board of directors as a Class I director.
The appointment takes effect from 15 April and will run through to 2008.
Timbie is currently president, North American Consumer Foods at the spices and seasonings group McCormick.
“We are pleased to welcome Mark as he joins our board of directors,” said Tasty Baking chairman James E. Ksansnak. “Mark brings to the board significant experience in sales and marketing, which will be a vital asset to the business. We look forward to having Mark help serve our shareholders as we continue to build long-term value.”
Tasty Baking also announced that Fred C. Aldridge, Jr., a Class I director, is to retire from the board immediately following the AGM on 10 May, 2007. He has been a board director since 1981.
