US organic food group Tree of Life has bought Florida-based distributor Organica USA for an undisclosed sum.

Tree of Life, a subsidiary of Dutch food giant Wessanen, said yesterday (23 April) that it has bought a company that handles organic, natural and speciality foods for over 100 manufacturers throughout South Florida.

Organica USA president Scott DeNight said: “As a competitor we have always respected Tree of Life’s management and employee groups. We are very excited to be joining the new Tree of Life team.

“Organica USA customers will benefit greatly from Tree of Life’s large variety of natural and specialty items and distribution capabilities.”
