US organic foods distributor Tree of Life is to handle a range of Amish pastas, the company has announced.

Tree of Life, a unit of Dutch food giant Wessanen, will distribute the Amish Naturals portfolio nationwide.
Scott McNamara, national category manager at Tree of Life, said yesterday (1 May) that the Amish range matched the company’s aim of targeting “living well” consumers.
“We are pleased to be instrumental in getting Amish Naturals pastas to shelves first, and are expecting enthusiastic response from the retailers we serve,” McNamara said.
Donald Alarie, Amish Naturals’ vice president of sales and marketing, said trials had shown the company has “something special”.
Alarie added: “This first, major authorization strongly suggests that our recent shift to a national distribution strategy, going beyond our original Northeast target, was a prudent change.”
