USANA Health Sciences has launched a new chocolate energy bar for “health-conscious chocolate lovers”.
Nutreo, developed by Usana, the manufacturer of nutritionals, personal care, and weight management products, contains 10 grams of protein, two grams of fibre and has a low glycemic score of 44.
The new bar was launched at a regional distributor convention in Orlando and will be available in the US, Canada, Mexico, UK and the Netherlands.
The company said it was developed to “offer customers an alternative chocolate snack that provides beneficial ingredients.”
Nutreo contains a concentration of both whey and soy protein. This bar’s all-natural flavours and sweeteners keep its glycemic score low and it contains 140 calories.
