As previously announced would happen, Vita Food Products was delisted from the American Stock Exchange (AMEX) yesterday (26 November).
Vita Food Products, Inc. ‘s common shares will be listed on the OTC Pink Sheets, trading under the new ticker “VFPI”.
As reported on just-food earlier this month, Vita Food Products has made the move in a bid to trim costs from the business.
President and CEO of the Chicago speciality and seafood firm, in which fewer than 300 people held shares, Cliff Bolen said the costs of being a public company had risen “significantly”.
He said: “Our board has determined that the rising costs of compliance, as well as the substantial demands on management time and resources compelled by the compliance requirements, outweigh the benefits the company receives from maintaining its registered and listed status.”
