Wal-Mart Stores has announced that senior vice president of finance, Charles Holley, has been promoted to executive vice president, finance and treasurer.

Holley will continue to oversee finance, tax and investor relations and will take on additional responsibility for treasury. He was promoted to senior vice president, controller of Wal-Mart in 2003, and was named senior vice president, finance in December 2005, having joined Wal-Mart from the Tandy Corporation in 1994.


 


Jay Fitzsimmons, currently senior vice president, treasurer, is set to retire on 31 January.
