Wal-Mart has reported a 2.4% rise in US same-store-sales for July, driven by price reductions, which helped to boost sales volume. The retailer also started its ‘back to school’ campaign earlier than last year.
Wal-Mart had reported a poor performance in June, with a lower than expected 1.2% gain, blaming high fuel prices and energy costs.
