Colin Watts, chief innovation officer at US retailer Walgreens, will move to Weight Watchers in the New Year to take a similar role at the weight management group.

Watts will become Weight Watchers’ senior vice president, wellness and global innovation on 3 January.

The company said Watts would oversee its North American B2B/Healthcare business, as well as its innovation and consumer insights teams.

“Colin comes to us at a very exciting time in North America as we accelerate the growth of our B2B/Healthcare business, starting with large, self-insured companies and leading to new partnerships with payers, providers and physicians that will significantly expand the reach and affordability of our services,” David Burwick, president of Weight Watchers’ North American operations, said yesterday (12 December).
