Weis Markets, the US retailer, has promoted Scott Frost as vice president, CFO and treasurer.

Frost succeeds Rick Mills who left the company in July. He joined Weis in 1984 as a newly-graduated staff accountant.
Frost had served as acting finance chief after Mills’ departure and now officially takes responsibility for all aspects of the company’s accounting and financial operations.
“Scott brings strong professional credentials and extensive experience in the day to day financial operations of our company and our SEC compliance programs,” said Robert Weis, chairman of the US supermarket group.
“He and the team he oversees will work in support of our company’s mission to increase sales and profits and in support of our marketing/procurement, store operations, corporate distribution and manufacturing teams.”
