US: Westin and Flint Hills form pork-processing alliance

Flint Hills Foods and Westin Foods have joined forces to form AnyTime Foods. The new alliance create “unique, turnkey processing concept that lets food-service distributors, retailers, national accounts, manufacturers and branded marketers quickly and profitably seize the growing consumer demand for pork and other value-added meat products that are healthy, convenient and delicious,” said AnyTime president Brett Elliot.

Flint Hills Foods and Westin Foods have joined forces to form AnyTime Foods. The new alliance will create a “unique, turnkey processing concept that lets food-service distributors, retailers, national accounts, manufacturers and branded marketers quickly and profitably seize the growing consumer demand for pork and other value-added meat products that are healthy, convenient and delicious,” said AnyTime president Brett Elliot.

Initially, AnyTime will focus on pork processing, producing slab and sliced bacon, cooked bacon, bacon toppings and bacon bits. The alliance will also continue Flint Hills’ and Westin’s production of corned beef and cooked meats. Looking to the future, Elliot expressed the company’s intention to expand into a broad range of meat processing options.

“AnyTime Foods is entirely consumer driven,” Elliott said. “Each partner of AnyTime Foods has a vision to constantly innovate and improve their bacon and value-added meat products while staying close to the customer and delivering faster and better than anyone else. This shared philosophy is what has brought us all together.

“We feel confident AnyTime Foods is the business model the industry wants. Today, customers are asking us for one big solution, with one point of contact, absolute consistency and the ability to customize proprietary, differentiated products that consumers demand,” Elliott continued.
