US retailer Winn-Dixie Stores has appointed four executives to run initiatives on pricing, private label, buying and benefits.


Chris Vukich has joined Winn-Dixie as vice president of pricing and will be responsible for developing and managing pricing strategies for the company.


Prior to joining, Vukich held positions at Dell and Wal-Mart International.


Joe McKie, Winn-Dixie’s vice president of corporate brands, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s corporate brands initiatives, including the redesign and relaunch of Winn-Dixie’s private-label products.


McKie previous held positions at companies including Federated Group and Daymon Worldwide , and most recently was president and CEO of Kreative Brand Solutions.


Matt Gutermuth, previously of Safeway , now serves as Winn-Dixie’s vice president of Center Store, and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the grocer’s buying and merchandising departments.


Meanwhile, Mark Tanis, previously of Watson Wyatt Worldwide , is Winn-Dixie’s vice president of compensation and benefits, and is responsible for the planning and implementation of the company’s compensation and benefits programmes.
