Nestlé USA confectionary unit Willy Wonka has released new candy ranges called SweeTARTS Squeez and Sour NERDS in the US market.


Sour NERDS will be available in Lightning Lemon and Amped Apple flavours, while SweeTARTS Squeez has Wild Cherry and Green Apple varieties.


A launch event for both ranges will be held at Dylan’s Candy Bar in Manhattan, with pop star Jesse McCartney making an appearance.


Wonka will transform Dylan’s Candy Bar into a replica of the fictional character’s magical factory for the launch, where a line of 50 children will be the first to taste the new products.


“Wonka’s Wacky FUNday is an expression of how Willy Wonka always creates the unpredictable in candy and fun,” said Tricia Bowles, manager, public relations, Nestlé Confections & Snacks. “After testing and tasting to find the perfect formula, Willy is finally releasing SweeTARTS Squeez and Sour NERDS for kids to enjoy starting this summer.”
