Wm Wrigley Jr Company has declared a regular dividend of US$0.256 on each share of common stock and each share of class B common stock for the three-month period beginning November this year.
The dividends are payable on 1 November 2006 to stockholders of record of each class of stock outstanding at the close of business on 13 October 2006.
The confectionery firm’s board also elected vice president of corporate communications, Susan Henderson, as an officer of the company.
She had joined Wrigley in January 2005, and was formerly president of her own communications consulting firm, with clients including Diageo and Gillette.
“Susan is a proactive leader and a seasoned communications professional who is heading up our efforts to further develop and strengthen the company’s global corporate communications capabilities and team,” said Dushan “Duke” Petrovich, senior vice president and chief administrative officer at Wrigley. “She is a valued member of our management team, and I am confident she will continue to use her strong leadership and professional skills to support our growth and shareholder value objectives.”
