Three senior leaders at the Wrigley Company have taken up new posts at the US firm as of today (20 July).

The confectionery company has chosen John Adams as vice president of worldwide manufacturing, Patrick Mitchell as vice president and chief procurement officer, and CIO Donagh Herlihy as vice president of people, learning and development.

Adams will take overall responsibility for all of Wrigley’s gum, candy and ingredient production facilities and personnel, having joined the company in 1999 as senior director of supply chain in Europe, while Mitchell joined the Wrigley Company in 2002 as vice president of procurement, after a long career at Kellogg and Keebler in finance, manufacturing and purchasing roles.

Herlihy has 20 years of experience in the automotive and consumer packaged goods industries and has held positions in industrial engineering, supply chain management and IT in Europe and the US.

Wrigley’s senior vice president and chief administrative officer Dushan Petrovich said: “Given their past consumer goods experience and strong records of accomplishments during their tenures at Wrigley, we expect John and Pat to build on the company’s tradition of delivering great quality products at the lowest possible cost. Their leadership and excellence in execution by the procurement and manufacturing teams will support the continued growth and expansion of our business.”
